Next Attraction

March 26th, 2007 by kwentongbayan

May comeback movie daw si Lilet! Sequel to Dear Diary (Dear Killer episode).

(Eh since she spent most of her life sa Japan, may Japanese accent ang character ni Lilet.)

Ang kontrabida nya, to show her Miss Saigon prowess, no other than Jamie Rivera.

Kakanta din si Jamie sa isang makabagbag damdaming eksena na introspection ang dating, mala "I swear i’d give my life for you".

"But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
imagine."

Sabi ni Baz Luhrmann sa Sunscreen

Lahat ng tao mas payat nung araw. Mas maitim nung araw. Mas madaming pimples nung araw.

Pero ayon nga sa favorite quote ng napakabait kong best friend kuno nung high school (and this is probably the only saying that she knows and lives by), "Past is past."

That faithful day. (Madasalin kami eh, bat ba?)

"My best feature is that feature taken upside down with Joni and Raz."

San na nga bang barkada ngayon? *sigh* Haha! Gimik barkada isdatchu?. Si Gina saka si Gary nasa car nagmemake out. Hehehe. Si Dianne nasa States eh. Di pa namin kabarkada nun si Ese.

Asser moments. I Love Broad Ass Three Times!

No copyright violation intended. =D

Just found out (Trivia, trivia u-huh)

March 14th, 2007 by kwentongbayan

I searched for the "weirdest word" in google, and it gave me:

hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

which means, fear of long words.

I doubt if people who are hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobic can actually say that they have hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. Because if they can, then they might have probably gotten over their hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, making them no longer hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobic to be able to say such a long word like "Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia".

Who the hell came up with this word?

I’m using a new phone, please update your phonebooks

March 14th, 2007 by kwentongbayan

After putting it off for too long, I finally had my phone fixed. Navirus ako early on my new-camera-phone days, a year ago. Forgot to lock my key pad and turn off the blue tooth (hoping that it’s a nice way to get hooked…hehehe). So nainstall ang pumasok na virus, and got my phone automatically sending MMSs to people in my phonebook.

I disabled my GPRS as first aid. Though most people had advised me to immediately back up my phonebook and have my phone reformatted. But since my first aid worked, tinamad na ko na ipagawa ang phone. The virus still tries to send MMS to random people from my phonebook. Pero since walang GPRS, hindi sya nasesend. Even if i turn off my blue tooth, my phone keeps on sending the same virus file to other phones or computers na naka -on ang blue tooth. Kaya for some friends who use blue tooth, naging nuisance ang phone ko.

Meron kase akong belief na ganito eh. Na i can get around technical problems with my own first aid solutions (or sometimes, completely solve the problem pa). Konting plug-unplug; konting alog-alog; konting ihip; konting dasal-dasal; Konting himas-himas; minsan kinakausap ko pa (like with my office computer when Premiere crashes down); when my CD player refuses to play some CDs, hinihipan ko lang sya sa may lens part. The harder the blow, the more effective it will be. And generally, I have this huge confidence when it comes to techie stuff na kaya ko syang kaliku-kalikutin, believing na there’s always a stepping back when a current move doesn’t work.

———————————-

I don’t know what exactly that virus was. But it has that filename extension ".sis". Ahaha.

Early this year, nacorrupt ang phonebook ko and most of the files stored in its memory card. I’m sure it was the virus.

And finally, last Saturday, hindi na ako makasend and receive ng text messages. It kept saying "Resend at …(five minutes later)…" Actually, two weeks earlier, I encountered the same problem na. But got around it by just restarting my phone.

Pero last Saturday, any kalikot I did proved futile.I tried reformatting the memory card, uninstalled some programs, changed to another setting, then back again. Yun na talaga. My phone had it. Kailangan na talagang ipagawa.

So finally. Gawa na sya. Na happy din. I feel like I have a new phone, with the task of inputting all my contacts manually. Iniba ko na din pati ang format ko sa phonebook, and utilized the surname etc. detailed entries. Goodbye to my gaguhan namecalls for people in my list. Hello formal and dull phonebook.

Mainit init pa

March 13th, 2007 by kwentongbayan

A potential client of my office, who already turned down our proposal for a project, just called. They’re reconsidering our proposal, but only to serve the creative aspect of the project. EH AKO KAYA GUMAWA NG CONCEPT! Waaaah! (Yabang….)

Sabi pa nya, we came in third sa mga nagbid. Third lang pero…Hmmm… (Hangin!)

Wala lang. Sobra lang nakakataba ng puso. Lately pa naman, sobrang record low ang aking self esteem and am questioning my creativity and all that sh*t. I’m not big with praises and all. It’s the little out-of-the-blue turn out of events, darting from nowhere like this that rev me up, kahit a little lang.

Knock on wood. Sana hindi mausog yung potential ng project. I’m just overly excited to write about it, kase the past weeks all I’ve been getting were bad reviews, so to speak (na more often than not, eh galing din sa sarili ko). Introspection kung introspection. Standing at the crossroads chever. And it’s crippling. This one’s a breath of fresh air.

Not just air, actually. Just enough wind beneath Icarus’ wings. Enough for his wings not to get dampened. Enough for his wings not to melt away. Hihi.

Icarus

March 6th, 2007 by kwentongbayan

Icarus

To escape, Daedalus built wings for himself and Icarus, fashioned with feathers held together with wax. Daedalus
warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, as it would melt his wings, and not too close to the sea, as it would dampen them and make it hard to fly.

They successfully flew from Crete, but Icarus grew exhilarated by the thrill of flying and began getting
careless. Flying too close to the sun god Helios, the wax holding
together his wings melted from the heat and he fell to his death, drowning in the sea.

I don’t know if I am doing an Icarus with my wings. I hope not.

(Thanks to Laya for the analogy. :-) )
